Students will research the historical evolution of graphic arts and apply core design principles to transfer images, hand-print, and operate an etching press. By creating unique monotypes and translating original fonts into relief prints, students will execute highly consistent printed editions while discovering the historical roots of contemporary digital and web technologies.
