Course Intro: This course explores the fundamentals of repeatable print media, including relief, monotype, monoprint, intaglio (dry and wet techniques), and stencil printing. Students create repeatable matrix and edition prints.

The Objectives

Learning

Through this course, students will master the fundamentals of matrix creation by learning to transfer images and produce matrices for relief, intaglio, and stencil printing. They will gain hands-on experience with diverse printing methods, executing printed editions using both hand-printing techniques and an etching press. Additionally, students will explore monotype artistry as they learn to paint and print unique, one-of-a-kind monotype prints.
